Fifteen teams battled it out, and in a kind-of-sort-of rematch from last year, Sports Fans (Phoenix Ultimate?) pulled off the upset and took the title away from Banana Cutters. Though they lost a nail-biter of a semi-final to Banana Cutters (a time-out, a contested goal-line stall, far too many layouts...), the Protectors of the Human Race rebounded to not only take third place, but also win the Spirit Prize!

We raised $3600 (up $300 from last year's record!!!), meaning each of the three selected charities will be receiving $1180!

The tournament results:

This year was the last year Rob and Marta ran the tournament (Kat, our co-TD, retired in 2016), which means there will be a changing of the guard in 2017. We are very pleased to welcome Steven Lane and Sarah Truong as E8s TDs in 2018, and hopefully beyond!

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year's tournament happen - the teams, the VUL for providing endless support (and free fields!), our sponsors who donated prize items (the VUL, Five UltimateJointworks Chiropractic and HUB Cycling).
